CosmicNav
Public beta Navigation watchOS iOS

CosmicNav

A real map on Apple Watch — drawn on the wrist, not streamed to it.

Overview

Overview

There is no Maps SDK for watchOS, so CosmicNav ships its own renderer: the watch fetches map tiles itself and draws them, which makes the Digital Crown a real zoom and keeps the map alive while the phone is locked in your pocket. Built for riding — glanceable numbers, spoken turns, wrist-first search.

Key features

Key features

Own tile renderer

A custom map engine for watchOS — Apple ships no Maps SDK for the watch.

Crown is a real zoom

Rotating loads a deeper tile level: side streets and labels appear, not bigger pixels.

Voice search on the wrist

Say a place, pick it from the list, ride — the phone never leaves your pocket.

Its own voice

Bundled recorded prompts instead of the flat system speech synthesiser.

Offline along the route

The corridor ahead is prefetched from OpenStreetMap for when the signal drops.

Three map styles

Cosmic, light and dark — switchable mid-ride from the watch.
